Goods In Transit Insurance

Ease the stress of transporting property

Goods in Transit Insurance can provide cover for your property while it's being transported.

If your belongings are lost or damaged in transit by road, rail, sea, air or post, anywhere in Australia, we'll be here to help. All Catholic organisations can take out this insurance to help ease the stress of transporting property.

Options:

  • You can choose from four different types of cover:

  • Accidental loss or damage

  • Accidental loss or damage, excluding breakage, scratching, chipping, denting, bruising and leakage, unless caused by an accident

  • Loss or damage caused by fire, flood, collision, overturning,  derailment, impact or theft

Features:

As well as being covered while in transit, your property is also insured while being loaded onto your transportation, and while it's being unloaded at the destination.

How does Goods in Transit insurance work?

Goods in Transit Insurance in action

A Priest is transferred from a Sydney Parish to take up a position in Geraldton, Western Australia.

Removalists are hired to help him relocate and along the way the truck is involved in an accident and overturns. A number of his belongings and pieces of furniture are damaged.

Thanks to Goods in Transit Insurance, we have the hallstand and coffee table repaired, we replace the fridge and TV with new models, and have all items delivered to the new Parish.
